About Me
‘David is amazing … I’m able to do things I’ve never been able to do. He has changed my life’

My Story …
I first discovered hypnotherapy around the turn of the century.
I’d been experiencing some disturbing panic attacks after a confluence of events and career changes had brought some background issues to the surface. To add to the pressure, I’d also decided to stop smoking the day my mother passed.
T’ai chi had relaxed me greatly but I was looking for something to satisfy my interest in philosophy and psychology too. That’s when I took my first hypnotherapy and Life Coaching diploma. It not only helped and inspired me personally, it opened up many things, including new career possibilities.
Before I eventually made the jump from my advertising business to therapist I began to test out more hypnotherapy techniques on myself – I managed to maintain my non-smoker status, control my drinking and, to my relief, the intense pain that I had been suffering after major back surgery. (This new procedure had added to the arthritis I’d been experiencing from a childhood hip operation.)
It was something of a revelation.
I took a Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy diploma to add to my further education and shortly after began to make the shift over to therapist, helping others outside of my advertising life.
I took this course at the UK College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy. It’s the only training course in the country recognised by the British Psychological Society, due to its rigorous adherence to evidence-based practice.
Experiencing different challenges and walks of life is vital in making a rounded therapist. My time in media, running my own businesses, helped me understand the pressures of a fast-paced London lifestyle – and my turbulent upbringing has helped me learn how to build resilience and overcome past trauma.
I continue to learn and add to my repertoire so that I can help others with whatever challenges they have in the best ways I can.
